The Plastic In-Use Weatherproof Covers are designed to meet the needs of a variety of applications, offering easy installation and including an adhered gasket, mounting screws, base, cover assembly, and inserts. The WP3100C is a single-gang NEMA 3R receptacle cover that ensures compliance with the 2008 NEC Article 406.8 (B) (1), which requires 15 and 20 ampere, 125 and 250 volt receptacles installed in a wet location to have a weatherproof enclosure, regardless of whether the attachment plug cap is inserted. Additionally, they meet the 1999 NEC Article 410-57(b) and are designed to meet the 1999 NEC Article 210-60(b), which requires receptacles installed behind beds in hotels and motels to be protected with a suitable guard.

The WP3100C is shipped with a gasket, mounting screws, base, cover assembly, and patented inserts. The single-gang Flexi-Guard series provides inserts for 16 different applications, and the WP3100C can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The patented insert design ensures flexibility by simply inserting the proper insert into the base and cover assembly.

WEATHERPROOF: The WP3100C meets UL Type 3R outdoor enclosure standards and complies with the 2020 NEC Article 314.15 for damp and wet locations, making it a reliable option for outdoor use.

EASY INSTALLATION: The cover includes a 1/8" (3 mm) thick, pre-adhered neoprene gasket with slits for mounting screws, simplifying the installation process.

HEAVY-DUTY CONSTRUCTION: The cover, mounting base, and inserts are made of durable UV-stabilized polycarbonate, providing long-lasting protection.

VERSATILE: The WP3100C features three inserts, including GFCI, standard duplex, round, and toggle, making it suitable for various installations. It can be mounted both vertically and horizontally.

SECURE FIT: The patented insert design and single-gang NEMA 3R receptacle cover ensure a secure fit for your outdoor electrical outlet. The maximum cord size is (2) #14 AWG or (1) #12 AWG, and each unit measures 5.75" x 4" x 2.75".
